Final Report London 2018 (10aM/10bM)
On Monday the 23rd of April the class met at the airport in Nuremberg in the early morning and flew with a plane to the Stansted International Airport. After we had landed we went to our hotel. Later we saw famous sights in London for example the Abbey Church, the London Eye, the Elizabeth Tower and the Houses of Parliament. In the afternoon we visited Speakers Corner. Then we had time to see the famous Oxford Street, it’s the biggest shopping street located in the city centre. In the evening, the class went to Piccadilly Circus where we saw more attractions and ate fish and chips.
On Tuesday we visited the famous Tate Modern Museum where we saw modern art like the famous Marilyn Monroe picture. In the afternoon we had a boat trip on the river Thames and saw many beautiful buildings for example the Tower Bridge and The Shard. The boat brought us to Greenwich where we could eat delicious burgers, crepes and Chinese food.
On Wednesday morning we watched the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Then we had a lot of free time and were allowed to move in groups around town. Some students for example had a big museums trip through four different museums and the beautiful (and massive) Regents Park. In the evening some students went to eat very spicy Indian food.
On Thursday we took the train to Brighton which is very well-known for its fish and chips. Afterwards we went to the Brighton Pier where we could see the sea and use the rides. While we walked back to the train station we saw a big Indian palace which was once property of William IV. Back in the hotel a few students played cards with Mr Raß.
On Friday we looked at the Tower Bridge for the last time and had some free time. At 13 p.m. we went back to the airport and flew back to Germany.
